If you’re having issues with the new version of Screenity, you can still install the old version by following these steps:
- Download the Build.zip file from the 2.8.6 release on GitHub
- Unzip the file to get the Build folder
- Paste chrome://extensions/ on the address bar in Chrome
- Enable the Developer mode on the top right
- Drag the Build folder, or click on Load unpacked extension on the top left
- Screenity should be installed and accessible through the puzzle icon next to the address bar
We’d still appreciate if you could contact us with any specific issues you’re experiencing with the new version so we can get it working for you. It also likely that your issue has been resolved in a newer version of Screenity, we recommend reinstalling it from the Chrome Store to get the latest updates.
Note that Chrome is deprecating Manifest V2 by July 2024, so the older version of Screenity might stop being supported in the future.
